This video has been created for the Conference on World Urbanism Day which happened on Nov. 7 2013 in Mashhad, Iran. In this video our focus was to build a text not with bricks, but with actual letters and words in the city. The main problem was the persian writing system, which forces the letters to change their forms in order to fit in an integrated word. So, we had to find the specific kind of the letter with appropriate typeface related to others, and it took us a lot of time and effort. Here is the translation of the whole text: We need things that give us direction and orientation. That develop passion in us. That give our lives a sense of meaning. And that is not a building.
